I have always wanted to give to others the way my coaches and mentors helped me at a young age.  I see every day as a gift, and I love the fact that through this website the opportunity to share the joy and passion I receive from training with others.  Being able to use my experiences and knowledge to help others reach their health and fitness goals drives me daily to want to improve myself!

It is my belief that consistency plus intensity equals success in sport and exercise.  Regardless of what your personal goals are, with consistent intense training the sky is the limit.  Within the sections compiled at www.FettleTraining.com  I strive to provide a solid base of information on mental and physical skills training.

Fitness is a day-to-day journey and not the final destination. Let's get fettle!

In 2007 I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Shippensburg University (Pennsylvania).  During this time my academic interests were in Health Psychology. Though an undergraduate course in Sport and Exercise Psychology and great learning experience with Dr. Candice Zientek, I would be led back to my roots as an athlete.

In May of 2009 I will be completing my master's program at Temple University (Pennsylvania) earning a Master of Science in Kinesiology with a focus in Sport and Exercise Psychology.  During my time at Temple I was able to absorb knowledge from my advisor, Dr. Michael Sachs, and the rest of the graduate students within the program. In addition to this, I was also a student member of the Exercise and Sport Psychology in Action at Temple University (ESPATU) group and worked to plan and coordinate Exercise and Sport Psychology events on campus, most importantly the 2009 11th annual Northeast Atlantic Sport Psychology Conference (NASP). I also taught undergraduate courses in Weight Training, focusing on helping each student progress as much as possible during the semester.

In the summer of 2008 I became a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CPT).  I worked as a Sports Performance Coach Intern at Velocity Sports Performance in Cherry Hill, New Jersey during the fall of 2008.  Through this opportunity I was able to learn the physical skill training methods for sport performance while coaching youth and adolescent classes. With the help of the staff at Velocity Sports, I was able to revitalize my training program as an athlete and focus my career on staying involved with athletics as a coach.

My main interests are in mental and physical training for performance enhancement, as well as the various aspects of coaching and leadership in sport and exercise settings.  Other fields that I am deeply interested in are Positive Psychology, Sports Nutrition, and Life Coaching. In my spare time I enjoy playing the drums and reading about sport, exercise, coaching, leadership, and the like.
