Physical Skills Training

This section provides an introduction on physical skills training information.  The main topics covered are: flexibility, strength/power, agility/plyometrics, speed, coordination, aerobic endurance, and anaerobic recovery.  Within each section you will find basic background information as well as training exercises.

Fettle training programs should draw on principles and aspects from all areas of our physical skills.  For example an individual that focuses solely on resistance training is likely to become muscle bound and may have poor flexibility or lack the stamina required for daily tasks.  On the other hand, an individual that focuses solely on aerobic training may lack the strength that is crucial for injury prevention or delaying muscular fatigue when working for extended durations.  Therefore, it is important to design a training regimê that incorporates all aspects of the physical skills and will provide the ideal state of fitness.

Flexible, strong, powerful, agile, quick, and full of endurance; that’s Fettle.

Even though physical skills are extremely important, remember that they are a portion of those skills required to become truly Fettle.  Fettle Training combines the physical skills mentioned with an equally important focus on mental skills training.
Keep checking back in the future, as new exercises (occasionally with a sport specific focus) will be updated routinely!
